Narrow Ridge
TREK OVERVIEW
The Narrow Ridge trek is one of the most scenic and exciting short hikes in the mid‑Himalayan region of Uttarakhand. Situated at an altitude of about 7,000–7,200 feet, this trail offers an adventurous experience of walking along a slender mountain crest, with breathtaking valleys dropping on both sides. The trek is relatively short, covering around 4–5 km one way, making it suitable for beginners, school groups, and day hikers looking for a unique adventure.
The trail begins with a gentle ascent through dense oak and pine forests, where trekkers can enjoy the fresh mountain air and spot Himalayan birds like the Red‑billed Blue Magpie and Himalayan Griffon. As you reach the ridge, you are rewarded with 360° panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and distant snow‑clad Himalayan peaks. This makes Narrow Ridge an ideal spot for photography, group activities, and quiet reflection amidst nature.
