TREK OVERVIEW
The Benog Wildlife Sanctuary trek, located near Kempty Road in Mussoorie, is one of the most scenic and educational day hikes in the region. Managed by the Forest Department, this sanctuary is a rich hub for diverse flora and fauna, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and students alike. Trek Itinerary
Travel by bus/tempo traveller via Mussoorie – Kempty Road.
Light refreshments & safety instructions by trek leader. Introduction to Benog Wildlife Sanctuary, its flora & fauna.
Walk through scenic oak & pine forests.
Activities: Bird watching, photography, and nature‑based learning (tree identification, ecosystem talk).
Reach the top viewpoint. Enjoy 360° views of Doon Valley, Mussoorie hills & Himalayan peaks. Short group activities/games for students.
Trek back to the base (approx. 2 hours).
Evening snacks/tea on the way back.
